Board of Directors

Aldo Bertesconi
Aldo is one of the people served in the Union City Work Activity Center.  He is a frequent spokesperson on behalf of The Arc of Alameda County.  He has been a Board Member since 2007.


Steven Dietsch
Steve is a Principal at DivcoWest and also serves as the Real Estate Investment Firm’s Chief Financial Officer.  Mr. Dietsch received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Accounting from Purdue University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.


Allan Hauskens
Allan founded Diablo Valley Educational Therapy to address problems he saw in the education of students with learning disabilities.  As both a teacher and parent of students with learning disabilities, he helps parents, educators and students develop the specialized skills they need succeed.  He currently chairs our Program Committee.


Jim McGoff
Jim spent 4 years in the Air Force and then 38 years with United Airlines as an Inspector and Lead Mechanic.  He has been married to the same woman for over 45 years.  Jim’s sister works at the Union City Work Activity Center.  He has been involved with fund raising for the Union City Center for several years and joined the Board in 2007.


Bob Perotti
Bob has an adult son in the Union City Work Activity Center and is a long-time advocate for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.  He has served as Executive Director of The Arc of Alameda County, the President of its Board of Directors, and President of the Regional Center of the East Bay.  He is also a familiar face in the halls of the State Capitol.  Before retiring, Bob worked for The Singer Corporation.
